Official WaMoola for Schools® Program Rules

Program Entry
You must have a Washington Mutual Debit MasterCard® in order to participate in the WaMoola for Schools program. You can enroll in the program at a Washington Mutual financial center. There is no fee to enter. You will be asked to designate a school to receive a donation based on the use of your card. Only one school can be designated per card. In most cases, you can begin earning points within 72 hours of your enrollment.

Eligible Schools
Any school that meets the following criteria is eligible to receive WaMoola for Schools donations: K-12 public and private schools located in the United States that have a 501(c)(3) or 509(a)(1) tax-exempt status and that is open on the day points are earned and when the donation check is issued.

Points
One point is awarded for each purchase with your Washington Mutual Debit MasterCard®. Points are not awarded for ATM transactions. Point value is at the discretion of Washington Mutual. Any change to the value of a point is retroactive within a current calendar year. The overall donation to the school you designate will depend on how many persons choose that school and how many times they use their card for purchases.

Minimum Donation
A participating school must earn points totaling $50 or more between January 1st and December 31st of each calendar year in order to receive an individual donation. Schools that earn less than $50 will have their donations allocated to organizations supporting education. Those organizations will be identified according to Washington Mutual’s then-current Corporate Giving guidelines.

Donation Checks
During the first calendar quarter, we will mail or deliver donation checks to schools that have earned $50 or more during the preceding year. All checks will be made payable directly to the school. Stop payments will be issued on donation checks that are not cashed within six months of their original issuance and the funds reallocated to organizations supporting education. Those organizations will be identified according to Washington Mutual’s then-current Corporate Giving guidelines.

Program Term
The WaMoola for Schools program begins on January 1st and ends on December 31st of each calendar year, subject to change.
