By accessing our site(s) on the Internet (the "Site"), you indicate your acknowledgement and acceptance of these terms.

Washington Mutual maintains the Site to:
  • provide you with information about Washington Mutual products and services, and
  • to facilitate communication with Washington Mutual and its related companies.

We may occasionally revise these terms.

Because banking laws vary from state to state, not all of the products or services described on the Site are available in all geographic areas. You may not be eligible for all the products or services described. For example, eligibility for loans is determined according to our loan underwriting policies. Washington Mutual reserves the right to determine the eligibility for any product or service.

Unless otherwire indicated on the Site, Washington Mutual owns the copyright of the images, text, screens and Web pages (or others as indicated) appearing on the Site. You may copy information from the Site for your personal or educational use, provided that each copy includes copyright, trademark or service mark notices, or attribution as they appear on the Site.

The information and material may not otherwise be copied, displayed, distributed, downloaded, licensed, modified, published, reposted, reproduced, reused, sold, transmitted, used to create a derivative work or otherwise used for public or commercial purposes, except as provided in these terms, without the express written permission of Washington Mutual.

When you conduct banking transactions via the Site through a secure browser, information transmitted to us will be governed by our privacy principles. Otherwise, unless prohibited by law, any communication or material you transmit to us via the Site or Internet e-mail is not considered to be confidential and Washington Mutual may use such communication or material for any legal purpose.

We use our best efforts to include accurate and up-to-date information on the Site, but we make no warranties or representation as to the accuracy of the information.

By using the Site, you agree that all access and use of the Site and its contents are at your own risk. You acknowledge that we specifically disclaim any liability (whether based in contract, tort, strict liability or otherwise) for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising out of, or in any way connected with, your access to or use of the Site (even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damage). This includes liability associated with any viruses that may infect a user's computer equipment.

With regard to services or products purchased or obtained by you through the Site from a person or entity other than Washington Mutual:

Washington Mutual makes no warranty of merchantability or warranty of fitness for a particular purpose with regard to such services and products. Washington Mutual specifically disclaims all other warranties with regard to such services or products.

You agree that your use of this Site shall be governed by Washington state law, and agree that jurisdiction and venue shall be located in Seattle, Washington.
